Im not saying you should change to this new 7.1.10 but if you do decide to , here are good instructions to follow so you can get the best from these new viewers
The settings shown above was to MEDIUM graphic level and draw distance 304 meters - feel free to modify it to higher or lower, accordingly to your computer!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP BY STEP
First and for most.. you need to save your settings from your current viewer so if the new one wouldn't work with your computer for some reason you can always go back.
01- Download the Firestorm at their official website only and pick the version of your operational system (WINDOWS/MAC or LINUX) and choose FOR OPENSIM ONLY: https://www.firestormviewer.org/choose-your-platform/
02- Go to a sandbox or any SIM where nothing is built. You will need to do it as the default graphic settings picked by this PBR (*) viewer will be immensely laggy for many users;
07- Go PREFERENCES/GRAPHICS on tab GENERAL and do the modifications as see on picture attached (shaders and shadows);
08- Still on GRAPHICS, move to tab HARDWARE SETTINGS and unselect the field "ANISOTROPIC FILTERING" as you see on picture attached;
09- Move to NETWORK & FILES and go to tab DIRECTORIES and set the both values on TEXTURE CACHE SIZE and ASSET CACHE SIZE to the maximum, as seen on picture attached:
10- Relog and... voilà... So far, for me, viewer has been quite stable and fixed the issues I had on inventory and outfit.
